Okay, so today's not an official holiday, but who cares. I didn't even get yesterday off, which sucked. Bad news of the month is that I'm not getting my Federal tax refund b/c they say I owe money from 2001. Good news is that the awesome lady that I spoke with on the phone knocked close to $250 in fines off of the total. She rocks!! Now I just have to pay the rest. Anyone with extra money lying around can send it to my attention.
Work is going really well. I had my review a few weeks ago and we discussed the different things happening with our company. We're right on the verge of being able to jump-start some things and the next couple of month will be very intense. I wouldn't argue with a bump up in the ole paygrade. If it's an upward bump that is.
Alright, I'm going to do some work now. Nothing fancy to write about I guess.

Month of Hearts
Okay, been a month since my last post.....sorry, but you'll get over it.
Been a bit busy of late. Work has become very interesting with things in flux daily. We have a lot of opportunities on the horizon and I'm fortunate enough to be involved in several of them. My review was on 2/2 and I got a vote of confidence from my boss....that was quite a boon way to start the weekend.
However, what I wanted to write about was on a more personal note. I've been seeing someone for over a month now and things are going great. We were able to go out to a show on Saturday and had a wonderful time. I'm hoping we can go to my favorite restaurant this weekend, Chez Fonfon. Which, if you're in Birmingham, I highly recommend.
My problem is Valentine's Day. Let's just say she's not as in to dopey romantic stuff as I am. And that leaves me in a quandry. It's bad enough that I already cook for her on a regular basis, so me doing a special dinner on the 14th will not be out of the ordinary at all. I'm getting her a single rose whether she likes it or not. The larger part of my problem is getting a card.
All the cards use the L word. Which, we haven't tossed out there yet. Not saying it isn't going to happen, just it hasn't happened yet. Which brings me to that whole relationship game.... I want it to be as easy as I like her and she likes me and we like spending time together. However, I'm still getting to know her and vice versa. I don't want to come on too strong and scare her off, but dangit, I really do see us being together for a long time (read into this what you will). But, we haven't had even a small disagreement and that's supposed to be one of the best tests, right? If you can handle disagreeing with each other then the relationship has a future.
Anyway....that's what's in my head. Beyond that this blog will just ramble more, so I'll quit now....
